DeYoung Sr., Joseph Wheeler "J.W."  
J.W. DeYoung, Sr. DUNCAN, SC-- Joseph 'J.W.' Wheeler DeYoung, Sr., 92, of 1523 Victor Hill Road, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2014. He was the husband of the late Mattie Belle Kelly DeYoung for 72 years and the son of the late Jesse Lee DeYoung and Minnie Belle Christopher DeYoung. Mr. DeYoung was a member of the Duncan Church of Christ over 65 years and he served proudly in the U.S. Navy and WW II. He was co owner and operator of DeYoung Barber and Beauty shop in Lyman for 58 years and a building contractor. Survivors include 3 sons, Joseph Wheeler DeYoung, Jr. of Quinlan, TX, Ricky and Ronnie DeYoung both of Duncan; 2 daughters, Josephine Green of Duncan and Freida Thomas of the home; a sister, Dorothy McHugh; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by 7 brothers, Robert, Oneal, Ralph, Andrew, Hugh, Troy and Earl DeYoung; and a sister, Annie Bridges. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Saturday at the Duncan Church of Christ with Minister Jon Mitchell and Minister Dane Waggoner officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30-3:00 PM prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family is at the home. Dillard, Clyde Milton - Easley  
Clyde Milton Dillard EASLEY-- Clyde Milton Dillard, 85, of 211 Sunset Drive, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at the home of his son and daughter-in-law. Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Andrew Bolt and Gladys Ruth Black Dillard, Mr. Dillard retired as plant maintenance foreman with Platt-Saco Lowell and was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church where he was also an usher. Mr. Dillard was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served with the First Infantry Division during the Korean War. Mr. Dillard, along with his wife, delivered Meals On Wheels for many years. Surviving are his wife, Doris Ellen McCall Dillard of the home; son, Curtis Dillard and wife, Sara Jo, of Fountain Inn; a brother, Jerry Dillard of Easley; and two grandchildren, Joshua Dillard and wife, Carly, and Candace Dillard. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dillard was predeceased by a son, Randy Clyde Dillard, a daughter, Teresa Dillard Mills, three brothers, Wayman, Cleo and Paul Dillard and by a sister, Viola Edith Porter. Funeral services will be at 2:30 PM Saturday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:15 PM Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the service. Tillotson, Charles Wesley  
Charles Tillotson SPARTANBURG, SC-- Charles Wesley Tillotson, husband of Norma Bladen Tillotson, died December 23, 2014 at home. Born April 5, 1928, he was a son of the late James Hubert and Inez Ruth Mathis Tillotson. Mr. Tillotson was a Saw Mill Operator with South West Forest Wood Products, Albany, Oregon, and was a veteran of the U.S. Merchant Marines. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Steven Tillotson of Albany, OR; two daughters, Krista Bond of Salem, OR and Esther Hendricks of Spartanburg, SC; a sister, Doris Lesley of Albany, OR; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Jimmy Tillotson, a sister, Esther Vicino, and a grandson, Paul Tillotson. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 29, at Davis Chapel Wesleyan Church with Rev. Ken Hales and Rev. Kenneth Rice officiating. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of the church from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. before the service. James Edward Young SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mr. James Edward 'J.Y.' Young, 73, peacefully entered rest on December 22, 2014. James was the son of the late Ora Bell Foster Young and James Young. Mr. Young was the husband of Mrs. Pearl Glenn Young. Left to cherish fond memories are: his devoted wife of 50 years, Mrs. Pearl G. Born January 9, 1922, in Walnut Grove, Spartanburg County, SC, he was the son of the late Joe Richard Parham and Ettie Aiken Parham. A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Parham was a member of Southside Baptist Church, the Adult 3 Sunday School Class, St. John Masonic Lodge, and Mid-City Hejaz Shriners in Lyman. He was retired from Southern Electric Company. Surviving is his beloved wife of 68 years, Marie Hammett Parham; nieces and nephews, Dianne P. Snelgrove (David), Ralph Edward 'Eddie' Parham (Brenda), Mary Ann Nunnery, June E. Hull (David), and many other nieces and nephews.
