Richard H. Allen BOILING SPRINGS, SC- Richard Hastings Allen, 66, of Boiling Springs, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Patty Diemer Allen of the home. Mr. Allen was a native of Pittsfield, MA and a son of the late George Merritt Allen, Sr. and Jean Mattoon Allen Olsen. He was a US Naval veteran, a member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and was currently employed with Amazon. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Michael and Andrea Allen of Rock Hill, SC; a daughter and son-in-law: Kim and Matthew Brooks of Inman, SC; his very loving step-mom: Catherine Allen of Florida; sisters: Gail Ahlquist of Massachusetts, Debbie Johnson of Maine, Vicky Roberts of Massachusetts, Maureen Allen of Florida, Margaret Burton and Maryanne Peddie both of NY; brothers: David Olsen of Maine and George Allen, Jr. of New York; and seven grandchildren: Philip, Braewyn, Juliet, Rylan, Sully Brooks, Holden and Luke Allen. He was predeceased by Carl Olsen, his loving father. Visitation will be held at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs on Monday, June 29, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Boiling Springs First Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Dr. Hank Williams and Rev. Bobby Lindsey. Lois Davis Anthony SPARTANBURG, SC-- Lois Davis Anthony 'Peach', 90, of Spartanburg, SC, lost her long brave battle with Alzheimer's on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Lois was born in Earl, NC on December 14, 1924 to the late Lamar and Loujesta Borders Davis. She was a graduate of No. 3 High School in Shelby, NC and National School of Commerce in Charlotte, NC. She was a charter member and served the Lord at Cudd Memorial Baptist Church and as a member of Peach Valley Baptist Church. Lois worked with her husband Jack at Columbia Supply until they retired in 1988. Lois lived her life devoted to her husband of 69 years, the late Jack Anthony and her four daughters, Carole A. Blevins, Connie A. McDowell (Bill), Anita A. Moon (Michael), and Janet A. Horton and their families. She enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling, and being the best grandmother of 8 and great grandmother of 10. She is survived by her sister Johnnie D. Sherwood of Vero Beach, FL and her brother Joe K. Davis of Loveland, Colorado. She was predeceased by a brother Don M. Davis of Earl, NC. Joshua L. Bishop SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mr. Joshua Lewis Bishop, 34, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2015 of natural causes. He was the husband of Mrs. Nikki Tate. Mr. Bishop was a native of Boiling Springs and a son of David Henderson of Inman, and of the late Dawn Bishop Heatherington. He was a landscaper. In addition to his wife, Joshua is survived by sons: Elijah Lewis Bishop of Inman, Jaden Lewis Bishop of Boiling Springs and Christopher Braden Bishop of Boiling Springs; daughter: Alyssa Nicole Bishop of Boiling Springs; sisters: Brooke Heatherington of Boiling Springs, Nikki Pearson and husband Ricky of Spartanburg and Jessica Dibdakova of Greenville; maternal grandmother Joan Robinson of Boiling Springs and Paternal grandmother Sarah Benton of Boiling Springs. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs. Anessa Boyd BOILING SPRINGS, SC- Anessa Boyd, 46, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 25, 2015. Mrs. Boyd was the daughter of Mr. Homer and Mrs. Mabel Wallace Walton; and the late Allen Meadows, Sr. She was the wife of Mr. Clifford Boyd, III. Anessa was a member of Vanguard Community Church. She was the owner of Upstate Support Services, LLC. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: her cherished husband of fifteen years; her treasured daughter, Faith Anise Boyd; her devoted brothers, Allen Lamar Meadows and Timothy Neal Meadows; her beloved sisters, Roslyn Diane Meadows and Miranda Robinson; her special nieces, Ashley Briana Craig and Tyler Robinson; her much-loved nephew, Darius A. Meadows; and a host of other relatives and dear friends. A Celebration of the Life of Anessa Boyd will be held on Monday, June 29, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at New Faith International, 13 Ark Main St., Spartanburg, SC. Pastor Rosavelt Copeland will officiate. Becky Brasington COWPENS, SC-- Margaret Rebecca Brasington, 35, of 152 Sunny Slope Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 24, 2015. Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late John Graham Brasington, Jr. and Linda Flowe Brasington. Becky was employed by Spartanburg 911 and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She volunteered with March of Dimes, a volunteer fire fighter, former EMT and a Hazmat Team member. Surviving is a brother, Jody Brasington and wife, Angie, of Gaffney and their daughter, Anna Rae Brasington; two uncles, Bill Brasington and wife, Sandra of Snellville, GA and John (Chuck) Flowe and wife, Margaret of Jacksonville, FL; several cousins; and a life-long special friend, Kevin Wyatt. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:45 AM on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Macedonia Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12:00 PM at the church with Dr. Terry Duvall officiating. Burnett, Allene Eubanks Seay  
Allene Burnett Allene Eubanks Seay Burnett died on June 18, 2015 in Minnesota. She was born August 16, 1920 in Spartanburg, the fourth child and second daughter of Lillie Mae Wade Eubanks and Benjamin Butler Eubanks. She graduated from Spartanburg High School and lived almost all of her life in Spartanburg, Inman, and New Prospect until moving to Minnesota in 2000 because of illness. Allene was pre-deceased by her parents; her first husband, Willard Seay, and her second husband, Carl Burnett; her brothers, Benjamin and Floyd (Pete) Eubanks; her sister, Rae Bowman; and her grandson, Joshua Fennell. Surviving Allene are her sister, Evelyn Ezell, of Greenwood; her sister-in-law, Sarah Eubanks, of Wilmington, NC; her daughter, Karen Seay, and son-in-law, Ted Allen, of Edina, MN; her son, Boyce (Bo) Seay; her granddaughter, Emilia Allen, of Minneapolis; two grandsons, Ben Seay, of Campobello, and Jimmy Fennell, of Tucson, AZ; several great- grandchilden; and many nieces and nephews. Allene's greatest loves were her family, her faith, her churches, music, and everything beautiful. She was a gifted singer, inheriting love of music and musical talent from her father. She found great joy in singing and in playing piano. She loved sewing, needlework, and crafts of many kinds; growing flowers, fruits, and vegetables; babies and little children; and her many dogs and cats. She loved reading and wrote poetry. She worked as a secretary in several government offices and businesses in Spartanburg and Inman and retired in 1982 from C&S Bank. She enjoyed seeing new places, her favorite being Colorado, where she and her husband Willard lived during World War II before he was sent to the Philippines. Allene was involved in her children's activities, serving as a grade-mother, a Girl Scout leader, and a vacation Bible school teacher. She was a member of a number of church circles and other organizations, including the Women's Club and the Business & Professional Women's Club in Inman. Allene was much loved by staff and residents of Golden Living Center, St. Louis Park, MN, where she lived for the last 14 years of her life. Her ready smile, peaceful demeanor, and warmth to everyone she met became important to all her knew her. There will be no formal memorial service, but a private internment will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman. Memorial contributions in Allene's name may be sent to Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1200 South Marquette, Minneapolis, MN 55403, designated for support of the church's work on behalf of those who are homeless. 'Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.' Frances K. Burns SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mrs. Frances King Burns, 84, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Billy Dean Burns who died in 2008. Mrs. Burns was a native of Spartanburg and a daughter of the late Clarence Dean and Hattie Worley King. She was a retired employee of Milliken and Company and a member of Gravely Memorial United Methodist Church. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Larry and Lisa Burns of Roebuck; a sister: Jeanette Roddy of Inman; two grandchildren: Robbie and Sallie Burns. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens officiated by Rev. Scott Gilmer. Shirley Sane Cain SPARTANBURG, SC-- Shirley Sane Cain, 80, of Spartanburg, SC passed away Saturday, June 27, 2015 in Habersham Home Nursing Facility. Born May 8, 1935, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Lee Mack Sane, Sr. and Minnie Ernestine Bruce Sane and was the widow of James P. Cain, Sr. Mrs. Cain was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and retired from the Thompson and French Law Firm. She was also an avid bridge and pinochle player. Survivors include daughters, Pamela C. Hamilton (Jim) of Clarkesville, GA; Katherine Cain of Tewksbury, MA; son, James P. Cain, Jr. (Rachel) of Sandy Run, SC; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy D. Sane of Warner Robbins, GA; and a sister-in-law, Mary Cain of Spartanburg, SC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Anna Sane Butler; and brother, Lee Mack Sane, Jr. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, July 3, 2015, at Trinity United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Neal Y. Wood.
