Albert Marett Lord

SPARTANBURG, SC-- Albert Marett Lord, 66, of Spartanburg, SC, died at his home on Saturday, October 6, 2012.
Born in Oconee County, SC, he was the son of the late Rev. Wade Hampton Lord and Mary Elizabeth Marett Lord. He was a graduate of Young Harris College and the University of Georgia, and he honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He was the owner of Lord Company Accounting. He was a devoted member of Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and choir member.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Adams Lord, and was a devoted father to Michael David Lord (Kim), Chrissy Lord Felton (Barry), and Carrie Lord Moore (Ashley). He was a loving Papa to grandchildren, Kailey Kimbrell, Emily and William Felton, and Caroline and Carter Moore. He is also survived by his sisters, Beth Trawick Elchols (Keith) of Gainesville, GA, and Martha Meeks (Danny) of Warner Robins, GA, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the J. M. Dunbar Funeral Home, 690 Southport Rd., Roebuck, SC, today, October 8 from 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. A service celebrating his life will be held at Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church officiated by Reverend Dr. D.J. Horton on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at 4:00 P.M.
The family is at the home of Chrissy and Barry Felton, 101 Woodbine Terrace, Spartanburg, SC.
