INMAN, SC-- Alsie "Nanny" Melton, 66, of 259 Arena Park Drive, passed away Monday, February 18th, 2013, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Melton was born on May 17, 1946, a daughter of Maybelle (Belue) Solesbee of Campobello and the late Luther Solesbee. She was the widow of Elmer David Melton and retired from textiles.
She is survived by three sons, Rickey, Ronnie, and Wayne Melton; three daughters, Faye Eubanks, Sherri Collins, and Kimberly Melton; a brother, Ray Solesbee; two sisters, Kathleen Kiessiling and Ann Johnson; six grandchildren, Brandy and Scotty Collins, Britney Eubanks, Jessica, Kyle, and Bailey Melton. She was predeceased by four brothers, John, David, Jerry and Boyce Solesbee.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 23rd at 2:00 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church, Campobello, SC conducted by Rev. Jeremy McCarver. The visitation will be held at the church one hour before the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alsie Melton Memorial Fund, P. O. Box 192, Inman, SC 29349.
