Columbus "Sack" Belton Robinson, Jr.
DUNCAN, SC-- Mr. Columbus "Sack" Belton Robinson, Jr., of 108 Rogers Rd., husband of Mrs. Edna Rogers Robinson, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 9, 2012, at the Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Robinson was the son of Mr. Columbus B. Robinson, Sr. and Mrs. Beulah Wallace Robinson of Duncan, SC.
He joined Greater Hopewell Baptist Church at an early age and was a faithful attendee of Traveler's Rest Missionary Baptist Church. Columbus (Sack) was a faithful employee of Swans (Flowers) Bakery Industries for forty-seven years.
Survivors include four daughters, Janice Maxton of Moore, SC, Kim (Randy) McAbee Smalls of Lyman, SC, Anita (Flavours) McAbee McMillan III of Inman, SC, and Beverly (San) Robinson of Stone Mountain, GA; two sons, Phillip Maxton Reid of Lyman, SC, and Columbus Belton Robinson, III of Duncan, SC; one granddaughter reared in the home, Ayanna Robinson; two godchildren, Kenya Rogers of Stone Mountain, GA, and Frederick (Kendra) Black of Lawrenceville, GA; a special cousin/friend, Andrew "Butch" (Irene) Miller of Spartanburg, SC; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; six dedicated and loving sisters, JoAnne (Tyrone) Harris of Moore, SC, Vickie Young of Duncan, SC, Robin Robinson of Duncan, SC, Minister Earlene Cohen of Duncan, SC, Minister Jearlene (Kenneth) Bruton of Greer, SC, and Wanda Kay Robinson of Duncan, SC; two brothers, Gettis Robinson and John Robinson of Duncan, SC; three sisters-in-law, Margaret Mays, Willie Rogers, and Jaquline (Robert) Landrum, all of Spartanburg, SC; one brother-in-law, Charlie (Mary) Rogers of Spartanburg, SC.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 13, 2012, at 2:00 pm at the Traveler's Rest Baptist Church. Pastor Leon Wright will officiate. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Greer, SC.
The family will receive friends at the home.
