Rev. E B Ford

SIMPSONVILLE, SC-- Rev. E B Ford, 82, formerly of Simpsonville and devoted husband of 61 years to Mary Davis Ford, died Friday, June 27, 2014, at Valley Falls Terrace Nursing Center in Spartanburg.
Born in Del Rio, TN, he was a son of the late Ernest and Mattie Presnell Ford. A US Army veteran of the Korean War, Rev. Ford was a retired Church of God Minister, having pastored churches in GA, SC, and VA. He served as a missionary in the Philippines for 10 years and in Panama for 5 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife are: a brother, Henry Ford and wife Virginia of Charlotte, NC; his devoted caregivers, Billy and Maxine Nelson of Roebuck, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by: brothers, Bernard, Harley, and Isaac Ford; and a sister Ethel Ford Becker.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at the Laurens Church of God, conducted by Dr. Mike Chapman, Pastor Bobby Johnson, and Bishop Thomas Gillum followed by entombment in Forest Lawn Mausoleum.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
