SPARTANBURG, SC-- Elder Welton Hollis of 905 Monks Grove Church Road, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 17, 2013, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. He was the widower of Mrs. Mosezee Lloyd Hollis. Elder Hollis was son of the late Mr. Loyce Hollis and Mrs. Blanche Mills Hollis. He was a native of Spartanburg County. He was a member of the United House of Prayer for all Peoples.
Survivors include: four daughters, Javalin (Warren) Drummond, Deborah (Tyrone) Harris, Sharon Gregory all of Spartanburg, SC, Dorna (Norman) Wynn of Chesapeake, VA, and Diane (Issac) Gory reared in the home as a daughter; one son, Frederick Hollis of Spartanburg, SC; two sisters, Ruth Smith and Lois Johnson of Columbus, OH; one brother, Lorenzo Hollis of Spartanburg, SC; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2013, at 3:00 PM at the United House of Prayer for all Peoples. Apostle Douglas Styles will officiate. Burial will be held on Monday, February 25, 2013, at 11:00 AM at the Heritage Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. Tyrone Harris and Mrs. Deborah Harris, at 121 Willie Means Lane.
