GREER, SC-- Ida Rose Handle Holtzclaw, 94, widow of Lee J. Holtzclaw, Jr., of 106 Crestwood Drive, died Friday, June 28, 2013, at her home.
A native of New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles Christian and Rosa Koelli Handle, she was retired from Greenville Memorial Auditorium, a charter member and the oldest surviving member of Trinity Way Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Lee J. Holtzclaw, III (Janet) and Rev. Dennis Holtzclaw (Joan); two daughters, Patricia LeBlanc and Jane Fowler, all of Greer; three sisters, Wilma Sternberg of NY, Bertha Ganzer of Florida and Jean Northcote of CA; six grandchildren, Kevin Holtzclaw (Mhari), David Holtzclaw, Jeff Holtzclaw (Tiffany), Brian Holtzclaw (Teeka), Melissa Nalley, and Sierra Fowler and five great-grandchildren, Marissa Dent, Christian, Conor, Davis and Anna Grace Holtzclaw.
She was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 30th at The Wood Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Rev. Dennis Holtzclaw. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Steve Van Patton, Gary Van Patton, Tim Campbell, and Kevin, David Brian and Jeff Holtzclaw.
Visitation will be held 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, June 29th at the mortuary.
