James "Bob" Hicks

GREER, SC-- James "Bob" Boyd Hicks, 74, of 105 El Craigo Drive, died March 24, 2013 at his home.
A native of Spartanburg County, son of the late Archie and Mary Maynor Hicks, he was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and an employee of Crimson Electric for 51 years service.
Surviving are his wife, Georgia Diona Robinson Hicks of the home; three sons, Frederick James Hicks of Norfolk, Virginia, Jimmy Ray Hicks of Spartanburg, and Joseph Allen Hicks of Landrum; a daughter, Kimberly Ann Hicks of Duncan; step-children, Bonnie Renee Tucker of Greer, John Anthony Nipper of Greer, and Larry Michael Nipper; a sister, Carolyn Owens of Easley; thirteen grandchildren including Chasidy Ann Watson who was raised in his home; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. David Slatton. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Charles Wilson, Bill Thomas, Ron McCravy, Chuck Lee, Les Cudd, Ronnie Lanning, and John Wilson.
Honorary escort will be the employees of Crimson Electric.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at The Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home of Mike Nipper, Woodcliff Drive, Wellford.
