James Noris Beiers
GREER, SC-- James Noris Beiers, 83, of Greer, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2010 at his home after a long battle with cancer.
A native of Columbia, SC, he was the son of the late Mamie Foster Dudley and was the adopted son of the late Charlie and Maggie Allen Beiers. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Enoree, was a retired electrician and was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in World War II and a U.S. Air Force Veteran during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign War. He was a Mason and a Shriner.
In addition to his wife of 15 years, Rosabelle Raether Beiers, survivors include daughters, Gaye Holt and husband Bill of Moore, Deidra Ranew and husband Dain of Woodruff and Lori Hinze and husband Cary of Simpsonville; one son, Eric Beiers of Lyman; two grandchildren, Keaton and Kylie Hinze of Simpsonville. Mr. Beiers was first married to the late Joann Yarbrough Beiers. He was predeceased by his sister, Nanny Beiers Hunt.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Lanford Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Larry Bateman.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the hour of service at the funeral home.

The family is at the home of his daughter, Gaye Holt, 200 North Staunton Court, Moore.
