PACOLET, SC-- Joyce Yvonne Phillips Belue, 72, of 1145 Cleveland Street, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 12, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
Born in Pacolet, she was the wife of the late Kenneth Wayne Belue and was the daughter of the late William Kirkpatrick Phillips and Leila Teaster Phillips. Mrs. Belue was a graduate of Pacolet High School, retired from Spartanburg School District 3, and was a member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Renee Hardy and husband, Shelton, of Albertson, NC, Kendra Phillips and husband, Bobby, of Pacolet, Leah Plumley and husband, Chris, of Travelers Rest, and Crystal Gregory and husband, David, of Pacolet; two sisters, Patricia Powell of Pittsburgh, PA and Sandra McCravy and husband, Larry, of Cross, SC; four grandchildren, Michael Garrett, Ashley Scruggs and husband, David, Rachael Lancaster and husband, Danny, and Matthew Osment; six step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Brown's Chapel Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 15, 2013, at Brown's Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Ralph Jett officiating. Interment will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens.
