WOODRUFF, SC-- Margie Mote Aiken,78, of 414 Lawson Road went home to be with her Lord on Friday, August 29, 2008 at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare for Restorative Care.
A native of Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Dillard and Carrie Moore Mote. She was a retired textile employee with Reeves. Bros. Mills Mill Plant and was a member of the Woodruff Church of God.
Surviving are her husband, Rudolph "Red" Aiken of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Rudolph Jr. "Rudy" and Darlene Aiken of Easley; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne and Henry "Bud" Roddy of Woodruff and Stephanie Loftis and Brent Theo of Woodruff; one grandson, Donnie Roddy of Woodruff and two great-grandsons, Baylee Theo of Woodruff and Carson Roddy of Greenville. She was pre-deceased by a daughter, Barbara Aiken Loftis and one sister, Helen Peeks.
Visitation will be held Saturday, August 30, 2008 from 7:00-9:00 PM at the Lanford Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, August 31, 2008 at 3:00 PM at the Woodruff Church of God by the Rev. James Shealy, Rev.. Curtis Terry, Rev. Buster Ball and Rev. Chad Albertson. Interment will follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the residence.
