GAFFNEY, SC-- Roy Patrick Pruitt, 70, of 175 River Tree Road, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.
Born in Pacolet, he was the husband of Nancy Patterson Pruitt and the son of the late Roy M. Pruitt and Lollie Turner Pruitt. He was retired from The Sharon Company and was a member of the National Guard. Mr. Pruitt was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are a son, Eddie Pruitt and wife, Tammy of Inman; two daughters, Susan Nolen and husband, Robert of Gaffney and Cindy Poteat and husband Steve of Inman; a brother, Johnny Pruitt and wife, Dorothy of Fingerville; a sister, Nancy Roe and husband Sam of Wellford; six grandchildren, Nicole Walters, Braedon Poteat, Luke Pruitt, Zach Pruitt, Aaron Nolen, and Anna Nolen; two great-grandchildren, Gracelyn Walters and Levi Walters; and a sister-in-law, Jenny Pruitt of Spartanburg. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Pruitt.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at 3:00 PM in Frederick Memorial Gardens with Rev. Robert Wells officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery.
