WOODRUFF, SC-- Pearl King Marler, 91, of 149 Mill Street, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013, at her home. Born in Spartanburg, she was the wife of the late Frank Allen Marler, and the daughter of the late David and Grace Griffin King. She was a former employee of Mills Mill and Monsanto, and a member of West End Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Don Marler and his wife Patti of Pickens; one daughter, Carolyn Tucker of Woodruff; one brother, Jeru "Bud" King of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Grace "Mick" King Simmons of Woodruff and Daisy Redd of Simpsonville, six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 16, 2013, from 1:30 till 2:45 at Forest Hills Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 PM in the Stribling Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Bill Thompson and Rev. Virgil Smith Interment will follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.
