Ruth G. Angell
WOODRUFF, SC-- Ruth Gregory Angell of 768 Three Wood Lane, Three Pines Subdivision, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at Regional Hospice Home.
A native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late William and Lillie Mae Foster Gregory and was the widow of Lloyd Edward Angell and was also married to the late William P. Lanford. She was a member of the Woodruff Church of God and attended Northside Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Surviving are two daughters, Lynne Reger of Jacksonville, FL and Pinkie Dardar of Woodruff; three sons, W. Daniel Lanford of Woodruff, Ray Painter of Woodruff and John Painter of Woodruff; three sisters, Inez Grizzle of Duncan, Minnie Mae Jordan of Inman and Elaine Morrow of Columbia; one brother, William "Jr." Gregory of Spartanburg; a dear and special friend Kenneth Green of Woodruff and her beloved Molly; seven grandchildren, Samantha Dardar, Lindsay Painter, Shane Johnson, Tracy Light, Sara Beth Quezada, Seth Reger and Josh Lanford; seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one sister, Arbutis Smith and five brothers, Geddes Gregory, David Gregory, Andrew Gregory, Thomas Gregory and Hugh Cannon Gregory.
Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 PM Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at the Woodruff Church of God by the Rev. James Shealy, Rev. Curtis Terry and Rev. Randall Parnell. Interment will follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens. The body will be placed in the church at 3:00 PM to await the hour of service.
