I met Mr. Holt when he came to stay with us briefly at Eden Terrace. My fondest memories are the few times he and I sat and talked about life and love and happiness. He was searching for peace and comfort in those final weeks and was such a warm and compassionate man. He never wanted to ask for anything, but always wanted to be able to give something of himself to others. I am happy that he is at peace, and I am praying for his family. I thank Walter for bringing his sister, Louise, and I together. She is an angel herself and I pray my new friend heals from this loss with God's help.

I met Mr. Holt while delivering mobile meals several years ago. Immediately formed a friendship and made him an honorary Sheriff's Deputy with Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office. Always had pleasant things to say and very appreciative individual that really missed his wife. We are going to miss you on Tuesday mornings Bud!You are a GOOD MAN!!!
