I worked for Mr. Johnson for almost five years as his secretary at Milliken and Company. He was a wonderful person. My father, Lewis Parham, who is deceased, knew him at the Valway plant of Milliken in LaGrange, GA. I know he will be missed by all of you. Diane Collins Penton

It was, indeed, a pleasure having the opportunity to work with HAJ in both New York and LaGrange. He cast a very long shadow in the Industrial Division and his unique ability to couple business acumen with a wonderful personal assisted many of us in our careers. My sincere sympathies to all those in the family; I know you shall miss him.

Regards,
Peter Trizzino

Hal was my great uncle's pilot during WWII. I will forever be grateful for the time Hal spent emailing me his stories of my uncle. He was a true hero in every sense of the word.
