Dr. Andrew E. Bowling
SPARTANBURG, SC-- Funeral services for Dr. Andrew E. Bowling, 30, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 19, 2010, at Chapin Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, February 18, 2010, at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bethany Christian Services, 414 Center Street, West Columbia, SC 29169 or of South Carolina, 500 Taylor Street, Suite 101, Columbia, SC 29201.
Dr. Bowling was born on November 18, 1979, in Royal Oak, MI and passed away on Monday, February 15, 2010. He was the son of Gary E. Bowling and Carol Nyquist Bowling of Little Mountain. He was a former member of Dutch Fork Baptist Church and a long-time attendee of Faith Presbyterian Church. Dr. Bowling was a graduate of the University of South Carolina Medical School and completed his residency at Spartanburg Regional Hospital. He was practicing at Skylyn Medical Associates. Dr. Bowling was an avid whitewater kayaker and loved to play his guitar.
Dr. Bowling is survived by his parents; sisters, Katelyn Bowling, Susannah Gerrald (Matt), Elizabeth and Juliet Bowling; nephews, Benjamin and Gabriel Gerrald; grandmother, Hazel Bowling and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
