GAFFNEY, SC-- Brenda Joyce Pittman Goode, 66, of 102 Nectarine Lane, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at her residence.
Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of Sam E. Goode and daughter of the late Bard and Lela Pace Pittman. Mrs. Goode was a graduate of Gaffney High School, was a homemaker, loved to cook, fish and garden, and was of the Presbyterian faith.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Crystal Bradley and Tammy Hill, both of Gaffney; two stepdaughters, Candy Wood and husband, Tommy, of Cowpens and Robin Hernandez and husband, Max, of Cowpens; a stepson, Sammy Goode and wife, Darlene, of Boiling Springs, SC; a brother, James "Pee Wee" Pittman and wife, Joanie of Gaffney; three grandchildren, Bo Bradley and wife, Kayla, Cameron Bradley and Conner Ellis; two step-grandchildren, Chad Goode and wife, Christine, and Marie Hernandez; one step-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Bard Pittman, Frank Pittman, Dean Pittman and J.D. Pittman; and three sisters, Mildred Strain, Helen Wilkie and Pauline Vassey.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Wilkie officiating. Interment will be in Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens.
The family will be at the home of Crystal Bradley, 208 Lakeview Drive, Gaffney.
