David Harrison Jones
CHESNEE, SC-- David Harrison Jones, 88, widower of Gwendolyn Vickers Jones of 301 Woods Farm Road, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, September 21, 2014 at his residence.
Born May 17, 1926 in Newport, TN, he was a son of the late William Green Jones and Miles Mennie Turner Jones. He was a mechanic, a retired business owner and attended Broad River Baptist Church.
Surviving are his children, Steven Jones and wife Teresa of Inman, Sheila Gwinn and husband Randy of Cowpens, Ricky Jones and wife Tina of Chesnee; brother, Earl Edward Jones of Newport, TN; sister, Cletis Ireen Jones of High Point, NC; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife he was predeceased by five brothers and five sisters.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Eggers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bryan Ezell officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
