CROSS HILL-- David Billy Sexton, 75, resident of 85 Lake Breeze Spur Road, husband of Winona Daniel Sexton, died November 12, 2012 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood.
Born in Spartanburg, May 12, 1937, he was a son of the late David and Myrtle McAbee Sexton. Mr. Sexton was a graduate of Burns High School and served in the U.S. Navy Reserves. He was retired from Saco Lowell of Easley after over 20 years of service.
Mr. Sexton was a member, former Elder and past Treasurer of Liberty Springs Presbyterian Church in Cross Hill.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are a step-son, Daniel Coleman and wife Sharon of Murfreesboro, TN and step-daughter, Nancy Netherly and husband Jim of Bremen, GA; one brother, John Sexton of Lyman and six step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Liberty Springs Presbyterian Church with Pastor Matt Stevens, Pastor Jeff Tell and Rev. John Fastenau officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Sexton, Steven Coleman, Sasan Lak, Daniel Coleman, John Brock and Jim Netherly.
The body is at Blyth Funeral Home in Greenwood and will be placed in the church at 1:00 PM Wednesday.
The family is at the home and will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Liberty Springs Presbyterian Church, 200 E. Liberty Springs Street, Cross Hill, SC 29332.
