Dorothy "Dot" Painter Sherbert
SPARTANBURG, SC-- Dorothy "Dot" Painter Sherbert, 83, of White Oak Manor-Spartanburg and formerly of 3235 Boiling Springs Road, died Friday, January 18, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born May 5, 1929, in Spartanburg County, she was a daughter of the late George Albert and Addie Belcher Painter and widow of Fred Sherbert. She was retired from Drayton Mills after 42 years of service and a member of Mountain View Baptist Church.
Mrs. Sherbert is survived by a sister, Sybil Painter Berry of Spartanburg; a special nephew, James Preston Metcalf (Natalie) of Pauline; a special great-nephew, Drew Metcalf (Lindsay) of Roebuck; her special grandbabies, Reagan and Jamey Metcalf of Roebuck; and many other nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 21, 2013, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Andy Case. Visitation will follow the service at the graveside.
