Eula Faye Childers Erwin|
SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mrs. Eula Faye Childers Erwin, 83, of 376 Brooklyn Road, Spartanburg S.C., went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 16th, 2013, at her residence. Born September 25, 1929, in Gaffney, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Boyd Childers and the late Ethel Henderson Childers, and was the wife of the late John Joe Erwin.
Mrs. Erwin was a devoted wife, mother, employed in the Textile Industry, and of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving is one daughter, Susie Russell of Spartanburg; three sons, John Joe Erwin, Jr. of Boiling Springs, S.C., Steve Erwin of Spartanburg, S.C., and Michael Erwin of Converse, S.C.; one brother, Pittman Childers of Westminister, S.C.; and thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Erwin was preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Erwin, one son, Randy Erwin, and three brothers, Gene, Wilson and Jack Childers.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:30pm on Thursday, June 20, 2013, in the Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home Chapel (Downtown), 211 East Frederick Street, Gaffney, S.C., conducted by the Rev. Donna Stroud. Burial will immediately follow the Service in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery, Gaffney, S.C.
Visitation for Mrs. Erwin will be held from 6:00-8:00pm on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, in the Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home (Downtown Location), 211 East Frederick Street, Gaffney, S.C.
The family will be at 610 River Drive, Spartanburg, S.C. 29307.
