UNION, SC-- Mr. Fayte Suttles, age 84, widower of Earline Henderson Suttles, of 2709 Lockhart Hwy., Union, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013, at the home of his daughter.
Mr. Suttles was born in Cherokee County, November 7, 1928, a son of the late Andrew Suttles and Maggie Thompson Suttles. He was a member of Brown's Creek Baptist Church and a member of Woodmen of the World.
Surviving are a daughter, Beverly Suttles of Pacolet; three sons, Gene Suttles and wife Yvonne of Cross Hill, Randy Suttles and wife Barbara of Chesnee and Dennis Suttles and wife Kathy Gurin of Camp Croft; two sisters, Elsie Wright of Cowpens and Leonna Henderson of Clifton; sixteen grandchildren and thirty-seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Suttles was predeceased by four sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Brown's Creek Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. John Lee. Burial will follow in the Brown's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 7:00 until 9:00 PM, Monday, March 25, 2013, at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
