LYMAN, SC-- Frances Elizabeth Dean Pierce, 83, of 408 Brenda Way, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. She was widow of Joe Oliver Pierce and daughter of the late Robert Dean and Alice Hembree Dean. She was a home bound member of Duncan First Baptist Church and had worked as a secretary at Cryovac.
Survivors include a son, Steve Southern and wife Kay of Lyman; a brother, Bobby Dean and wife Betty of Duncan; a granddaughter, Amy Sanders and husband Brian; four great-grandchildren, Jessica, Blake, Brody and Carlee; and special friend, Earline Champion.
Private graveside services will be held 10:00 AM Friday at Wood Memorial Park with Pastor Bob Aho officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303 and Meals on Wheels, 419 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
A special thanks to the staff of the Spartanburg Regional Hospice House and Ashlan Village for the wonderful care they gave to Frances.
