Hill Allen Carter III

BOILING SPRINGS, SC- Mr. Hill Allen Carter III, 83, of Boiling Springs, SC passed away, October 26, 2013 at Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills. A native of Highland Springs, VA, he was the loving husband to Phyllis Dunker Carter and the son of the late Hill Allen Carter, Jr. and Gertrude Stillman Carter. He retired as Regional Sales Manager from Revlon Cosmetic Company, was a member of Spartanburg First Presbyterian Church, and in his spare time he enjoyed fishing and gardening. Mr. Carter served his country proudly for four years in the United States Navy Reserves and three years in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. His passion in life was his grandchildren and community theatre. He was the technical director of the Kirk Players Community Theatre Group for several years in Mundelein, IL, where he was the most award winning actor of the troupe.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Allen Carter (Gwenn) of Lake Mary, FL and Christopher Hill Carter (Diana Schmader) of Myrtle Beach, SC; three daughters, Wendy Lynn Hursh (Robert Smith) of Apopka, FL, Stacie Marie LeMaster (Charles) of Gaffney, SC, and Angela Meg Orrell (Ryan Holiday) of Greenville, SC; 11 grandchildren, Zachary, Hannah, Meg, Madeline, Emily, Oliver, Tymica, Amanda, Christina, Gabrielle, and Isabella; four great-grandchildren, Marcus, Jenna, Tripp, and Bryson, and by his nephew, Guy Rhone (Rose) of Athens, GA; nieces, Lori Anthony (Jerry) of Medford, ME and Cheryl Banckston (Red) of Highland Springs, VA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three siblings and one nephew.
