ANDERSON, SC-- James Lane Coley, II, 62, of 400 Holly Creek Drive, husband of Marjorie Ann Coley, died Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at his residence.
Born January 29, 1948, in Rock Hill, he was the son of Jean Sherer Coley of Spartanburg and the late James Lane Coley. He was a graduate of Clemson University and was President of Pickens Roofing Co. in Anderson. Lane was a champion bowler at Boulevard Bowling Lanes, loved all sports, and was an avid New York Yankees Fan. He loved family and friends deeply, and positively impacted many lives as a member of the Central Group of Anderson. He was a member of Central Presbyterian Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother, are a son, James Alan Coley of Anderson; a daughter, Jennifer Coley McGill (Michael) of Anderson; stepchildren, William Isbell (Vicki) of Anderson, April Morris of Atlanta, and Hope Morris Holcombe (Shane) of Anderson; grandchildren, William Trey Isbell and Samantha Leanne Speer, Erin, Coley, and Carson McGill, Bryce and Emma Holcombe, all of Anderson; and two sisters, Nancy Coley Wilson (Rusty) of Ninety Six, and Kathy Coley of Spartanburg.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, November 26, 2010, at Sullivan-King Mortuary, Northeast Chapel, conducted by his son-in-law, Michael McGill.
The family will receive friends at the mortuary, 3205 North Highway 81, Anderson, following the service. The family is at the residence.
Flowers are optional; memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
