Joseph Charles Webnar, 91, resident of 111 Carriage Court, died June 7, 2018 at Hospice House, Hospice Care of the Piedmont.
Born in Tiltonsville, OH, September 18, 1926, he was the son of the late William Andrew and Mary Elizabeth Torok Webnar. Mr. Webnar had an outstanding career as a research and development engineer in textiles for over thirty years. He loved the game of golf and was an accomplished fisherman. He was a long-time member of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife of sixty-seven years, Bonnie Anette Webnar are his two children, Joseph 'Burl' (Judy) Webnar of Greenwood and Cheryl Webnar Harris of Cartersville, GA and one granddaughter, Caitlin Marie Harris of Camilla, GA.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 PM Saturday, June 16th at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in Boiling Springs, SC with Father Alan Leonard officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is at the home of Burl and Judy Webnar, 111 Carriage Court in Saddle Hill and will receive friends at the church immediately following the service.
The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 160024, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
