GAFFNEY, SC-- Mrs. Lula Bell McCraw, 88, of 121 Douglas Heights Drive, Gaffney, SC, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday evening, March 27th, 2013, at the Mary Black Memorial Hospital in Spartanburg, S.C. She was born June 24, 1924, to the late Shelton Sparks and the late Irene Ellison Sparks, and was the wife of the late B.P. McCraw.
Mrs. McCraw was a devoted wife and loving mother, a homemaker, a member of Providence Baptist Church in Gaffney, S.C., and was the last living member of her immediate family.
Surviving is one son, Johnny McCraw of Gaffney; one daughter-in-law, Nancy Britt McCraw of Spartanburg, SC; and two grandchildren, Bedford Alexander McCraw of Columbia, SC and Amy Leigh McCraw of Spartanburg, SC.
Mrs. McCraw was preceded in death, in addition to her parents and husband, by two sisters, Ruby Sparks and Minnie Lee Smart; and ten brothers, Fate Sparks, Lynn Sparks, Paul Sparks, Rodeheaver Sparks, James Sparks, Rhett Sparks, John Nick Sparks, Bill Sparks, Jonie Sparks, and Floyd Sparks.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 30, 2013, in the Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Chapel at Frederick Memorial Gardens, 986 Chesnee Highway, Gaffney, conducted by the Dr. Scott Peterson and Dr. Donnie Padgett. Burial will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens immediately following the Service.
Visitation for Mrs. McCraw will be held prior to the Funeral Service on March 30, 2013, from 1:00- 2:00 pm in the Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home Chapel at Frederick Memorial Gardens, Gaffney, SC.
The family will be at the home.
