Dr. Neil F. Wyss

GREER, SC-- Neil Frederick Wyss, 66, of Greer, peacefully passed away at his home on Friday, September 16, 2011.
Born October 22, 1944, in Sheffield, England, he was a son of the late Frederick Wyss Jr. and Pamela Baker Wyss. He graduated from the Medical College of Virginia Dental School and practiced dentistry in Lyman for 35 years. Dr. Wyss served as a captain in the US Army Dental Corps for 3 years. He was elected to the school board of Spartanburg School District #5 for a number of years. Dr. Wyss was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church in Greer.
Surviving is his wife, Kathy of the home; two daughters, Heather Wyss Bland and her husband, Julian, of Greenville and Kristin Wyss of the home; and one sister, Christine Parsons and her husband, Jim, of Greenville; and a loving and extended family.
A special thank you to Dr. Joe Stephenson and his staff of the Cancer Centers of the Carolinas and to Medi Home Hospice for their compassionate loving care.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 18, 2011, at Memorial United Methodist Church with visitation immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to Greenville Hospital System, ITOR, 900 W. Faris Rd., CTC 3rd Floor, Greenville, SC 29605, or Medi Home Hospice, 20 Roper Corners Circle, Suite B, Greenville, SC 29615.

Kathy and Family: Im so sorry to hear about Dr.Wyss passing. He has been a blessing to all the lives he has touched over the years. We will be praying God will stop the tears and know he is pain free with a new body in Heaven. It was a blessing to me to have worked with him. May God comfort you during this time.
