WELLFORD, SC-- Ola Hutcherson Hunsinger, 87, of 320 Hammett Road, died Tuesday, November, 27, 2012, at Restorative Care. A native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late J.L. and Mary Hutcherson Brown. She was the wife of the late Glenn Robert Hunsinger.
She was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother.
She was a long time member of Grace Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Secretary and Treasurer for 25 years and was a nursery worker.
She is survived by her son, Russell Hunsinger and wife Nina of Wellford; a daughter, JoAnne Etheredge and husband Bruce of Inman; and a special daughter-in-law, Linda Hunsinger of Wellford. She is predeceased by her oldest son, Robert Hunsinger.
In addition to her children, she is survived by her sisters, Nellie Halford, Ruby Thompson and multiple nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.
Also surviving are her grandchildren: Terry Hunsinger and wife Kim of Wellford, SC, Traci Hunsinger Miller and husband Kenny of Beaumont, TX, Drew Etheredge and wife Heather of Suffolk, VA and Julie Etheredge Powell of Cowpens, SC, Michael Etheredge of Lawrenceville, GA and Jay Etheredge of Huntington Beach, CA; great-grandchildren: Erika, Hailey and Sydney Tucker of Beaumont, TX , Kylie Rose Hunsinger of Inman, SC, Carson Glenn Etheredge of Suffolk, VA, Cameron Etheredge of Lawrenceville, GA, Jack & Allison Etheredge of Hutington Beach, CA, Ashlyn Powell and Hannah Foster of Cowpens, SC, and grand dog "Sweetie".
The family would like to thank all of the wonderful staff at Restorative Care for their commitment and dedication to her comfort and care. We would also like to thank her special friend Kathy Patrick.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30pm Thursday, November 29, 2012, at Petty Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Friday, November 30, 2012, at Grace Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Nick Vance and Rev. J. B. Godfrey. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
