HENDERSONVILLE-- Richard Dennis Siltzer, 71, of Hendersonville died Monday November 11, 2013 at Pardee Hospital.
He was born July 30, 1942 in Spartanburg, SC to the late Richard F. and Jennie Mae Bagwell Siltzer.
Mr. Siltzer attended Spartanburg Methodist College, was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves and retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
A member of Mills River United Methodist Church, he was active in senior activities, including the Mills River Life Enrichment Center.
A memorial service will be held 11 AM Friday at Mills River United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Ashley Crowder Stanley and the Rev. Paige Ann Miller officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mr. Siltzer is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Fleming Siltzer, his son Jay Siltzer and wife Kelly and a grandson Malachi, all of Hendersonville. Other survivors include a brother, Ronald A. Siltzer of Boiling Springs, SC.
