Sam Osbey Obituary
INMAN, SC-- Sam Osbey, Jr., of 23 Bobo Street, died on Thursday, January 27, 2011, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home after a short illness.
A native of Spartanburg County, he was the widower of Betty J. Osbey and the son of the late Sam Osbey, Sr. and Pearline Osbey. Mr. Osbey was preceded in death by one son, Same Osbey, III; two sisters, Shirley A. Smith and Mary E. Goldsmith; two brothers, Tommy Osbey and Bennie C. Osbey.
Mr. Osbey leaves to cherish fond memories, three daughters, Dianne Oglesby-Turner of Columbia, SC, Joann Osbey and Betty L. Oglesby, both of Inman, SC; two sons Ronnie Oglesby of Inman, SC, and Paul Osbey of Greenville, SC; three sisters, Lula M. Carr of Taylors, SC, Brenda Cox of Greenville, SC, and Frances Smith of Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family is at the home of his granddaughter, Amy Oglesby, 812 Timberlake View Circle, Inman, SC.
