William Scott Obituary

William "Will" Scott
UNION, SC-- William Daniel "Will" Scott, age 18, of 186 Victory Lane, Union, SC, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Thursday evening, May 14, 2009.
Will was born in Laurens, SC February 23, 1991, a son of Billy Wayne Scott and Susan Kelley Scott. He was a 2009 graduate of Union County High School where he had served as a member of First Priority and Fellowship of Christian Athletics. A faithful member of Philippi Baptist Church where he was a member of Room 302 Praise Band, J-Crew and served as a leader and preacher for youth services at Philippi, other area churches and nursing homes. Will founded and lead Checklist Ministries with the desire to reach people with the gospel of Christ.
Surviving in addition to his parents, Billy and Susan Scott of the home, are a brother, Cory Scott; and a sister, Lacey Wood, both of the home; his grandparents, Billy and Barbara Scott of Union, Jake and Carolyn Hall of Laurens and Ronald Kelley of Greenville; two aunts, Debbie Rash of Union and Rhonda Hughes of Laurens; and two uncles, Mike Scott of Union and Tim Kelley of Laurens.
A worship service celebrating the life and Lord of Will Scott will be held 6:00 PM Monday, May 18, 2009 at Philippi Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Brad Goodale.
The family will receive friends at the Family Fellowship Center at Philippi following the service.
It is the desire of the Scott family that those attending the service Monday, to come as you are, dress casually and comfortably and prepared to worship the Lord.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Checklist Ministries, Philippi Baptist Church, 327 Philippi Church Rd., Union, SC 29379.
The family will be at the home of his aunt, Debbie Rash, 306 Victory Lane, Union.

I read of your loss on Mason Wood's CaringBridge site. I read the article in the online paper about your son. What a wonderful young man. You must be so proud of him.

I will pray for peace for you as you face the days ahead. I hope that your happy memories of your time with Will bring you peace.

Surely,and most deservedly, Will is one of God's newest angels.

Your family is in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Please find peace amd comfort in knowing that Will is completely healed now. His faith and testimony touched so many lives. What a celebration he is having with our AMAZING LORD.
