Betty Jo Waldrop
PAULINE, SC-- Betty Jo Johnson Waldrop, 71, of 60 Roselyn Rd., Pauline, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 15, 2012. A native of Spartanburg, she was born on March 3, 1941 to the late Clyde and Minnie Cooper Johnson.
She was retired from One Price Distribution and a member of Una First Freewill Baptist Church for over 40 years where she taught Children's Sunday School.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Jimmy C. Waldrop; sons Darrin Waldrop and wife Deidre, Alan Waldrop; daughters Peggy Whiteside Coker and husband Larry, Tammy Waldrop; brothers Willie Joe Johnson and wife Linda, Michael Ray Johnson; sister Frances Ann Hitt; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a special great-niece and 3 great-great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil Johnson; and a sister, Shirley Felmet.
The family will meet friends from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Monday, April 16, 2012 at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Una First Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Cash officiating. A eulogy will be given by Mr. Mitch Edge. Interment will follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Una First Freewill Baptist Church, Building Fund, 2130 Caldwell Rd., Una, SC 29301.
The family will be at the home of her daughter, Peggy Coker, 80 Roselyn Rd., Pauline, SC.
