Anna May Lancaster
SPARTANBURG, SC-- Anna May Lancaster, 97, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at White Oak Estates-Spartanburg. Born February 24, 1915, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late John Jay and Susan Emma Rickman Lancaster.
She was a member of Abner Baptist Church, a 1932 graduate of Spartanburg High School and graduated from Spartanburg General Hospital School of Nursing in 1935. She worked at Spartanburg General Hospital and for Dr. Callis Anderson.
Survivors include her nephew, Bill Lancaster of Spartanburg; and sister-in-law, Ozelle Lancaster of Spartanburg. She was predeceased by sisters, Ruby Lancaster and Bert Dobbins; brother, Johnny Lancaster; and niece, Susan Lancaster.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, May 7, 2012, in Sunset Memorial Park, by the Rev. Richard A. Clark. Visitation will be at the graveside.
