Mrs. Lizzie Elizabeth Smith Edenfield
Mrs. Lizzie Elizabeth Smith Edenfield, 86, died Friday, June 1st, 2012, at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home.
Born March 27th, 1926, a daughter of the late William Franklin and Viola Arnold Smith. Mrs. Edenfield was a member of the former West Side Baptist Church and had been employed with Buffalo Mills.
Survivors include one son, Larry Edenfield (Rita); two daughters, Joan Elizabeth Knox (Jackie Sr.) and Barbara Austin (Leonard) all of Union; one sister, Rachel Boling of Goose Creek SC, nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister, and one grandson, Jimmy Ray Knox.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 4th, 2012, at 12noon at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends David Berry and Wayne Cooke officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Sunday, June 3rd, 2012, at The Lewis Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Hospice Care of S.C., 408 N. Duncan Bypass, Union, SC 29379.
The family is at the home of her daughter, Barbara Austin, 207 Francis Ave., Union, SC 29379.
Lewis Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
