Ray Kenneth Moore, Sr.

SPARTANBURG, SC-- Ray Kenneth Moore, Sr., 68, of 319 Wimberly Drive, Spartanburg, SC, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012, at the Regional Hospice Home.
Born in Spartanburg, SC on February 16, 1944, he was the son of the late Sarah (Bivens) and Zeb Moore and was the husband of Lois Henderson Moore having celebrated 42 years of marriage.
Mr. Moore was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam War and worked for more than 45 years as a heavy equipment operator.
He was a member of Westgate Freewill Baptist Church, Moose Lodge, Lone Oak Masonic Lodge #372, Hillbilly Clan #2 and the Hejaz Shriners.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Ray K. Moore and his wife April of Inman, Robbie Moore and his wife Sharon of Union and Lenny P. Moore and his wife Stephanie of Rock Hill; one daughter, Nadine Still of Roebuck; one brother, George Moore of Wellford; three sisters, Ruby M. Timmons of Una, Anita Dorman of Spartanburg and Kathy Dimsdale of Mayo; along with thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Two brothers and three sisters predeceased him.
The family will receive friends today, Monday, June 4, 2012, from 7:00-9:00PM at Seawright Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, in the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel with Masonic Rites and Rev. Danny Easler officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Spartanburg, SC with Military Honors provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
