James Calvert Farr
UNION, SC-- Mr. James Calvert Farr, age 91, husband of Pearl Adams Farr, of 2519 Jonesville Lockhart Hwy, Union, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Wallace Thomson Hospital.
Mr. Farr was born in Union, SC January 26, 1921, a son of the late Calvert Farr and Ruth Goings Farr. He was a Veteran of the US Army having served in World War II.
Surviving in addition to his wife Pearl of sixty-six years, are his sister, Marian Harris of Union; several nieces and nephews including Perry Crocker, Steve Crocker, Ruth Guy, Faye Harris and Gary Harris. Mr. Farr was predeceased by a sister, Gladys Crocker; and nephew, Chris Crocker.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, June 8, 2012, at Mt. Joy Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Alan West and Rev. Lynn Ford. Burial with Military and Masonic Rites will follow at Mt. Joy Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday evening, June 7, 2012, at Mt Joy Baptist Church.

The family is at the home, 2519 Jonesville Lockhart Hwy, Union, SC 29379.
