Sharon B. Chapman
GREER, SC-- Flora Sharon Bishop Chapman, 64, of Greer, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Greenville Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Born April 29, 1948, in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of Kizzie Littlejohn Bishop of Greer and the late John Richard Bishop.
Sharon was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She and her husband Tommy had been married 46 years. She graduated from Cowpens High School in 1966, married, and began her life as a devoted homemaker. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church of Lyman.
Surviving are her husband, Tommy G. Chapman; son, John Chapman and wife Denise of Greer; daughter, Paige Blackwell and husband Tommy of Lyman; grandchildren, Hayden, Cole, and Sophie Blackwell of Lyman, Mackenzie, Thomas, and Tyler Chapman, and Ashlyn Burgess, all of Greer; great-grandson, Kayden of Greer; and brother, Ricky Bishop of Florida.
Visitation will be 2:00-3:00 PM, Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at the graveside, in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, conducted by the Rev. Steve Durham.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Friendship Baptist Church, 1600 Holly Springs Road, Lyman, SC 29365.
