Duran Turner
CHESNEE, SC-- Albert Duran Turner, 82, of 895 Cooley Springs School Rd., passed away on June 14, 2012 at Mary Black Hospital. He was the husband of the late Emma Sue Bailey Turner.
Mr. Turner was a native of Spartanburg County and was the son of the late Laurel Vaughn, and Effie Davidson Turner. He was a retired employee of Kohler Company, and a member of Sandy Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Rudolph Albert and Flora Turner of Chesnee, William Austin and Willie Ann Turner of Conway, SC Roger Dale and Lora Turner of Green Creek, NC; daughter and son-in-law, Susie Ann and David Lee of Converse, SC; daughter-in-law, Martha Turner of Chesnee; brother, Algin Sprig Turner of Chesnee; ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He was predeceased by a son, Billy Wayne Turner; a granddaughter, Angela Turner; four brothers, L.V., Walden, C.Y., and Austin Turner; three sisters, Opal Wilkerson, Virdell Biggerstaff, and Kathleen Brown.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2012 at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Sandy Springs Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Phil Bailey, Rev. Doug Turner, and Rev. Henry Johnson. Interment will be in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
The family will be at 1070 Ted Smith Rd., Rutherfordton, NC.
