Harold Dean Patterson
BLACKSBURG, SC-- Harold Dean Patterson, 84, 125 Scenic Drive, Blacksburg, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, Spartanburg, SC. He was the husband of the late Margaret Moss Patterson and a son of the late Eural and Gladys Owens Patterson. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and was a retired Magistrate.
He is survived by four sons, Tim Patterson and wife, Ernie, of Knoxville, TN, Mark Patterson and wife, Penny, of Blacksburg, SC, Eric Patterson and wife, Beverly, of Fuquay Varina, NC, and Bryan Patterson and wife, Karen, of Blacksburg, SC; ten grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Kenneth Patterson, Jerry Patterson and Ronnie Patterson all of Blacksburg, SC; and two sisters, Jenny Armstrong of Chesnee, SC and Nancy Rogers of Blacksburg, SC. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Patterson and Steve Patterson.
The family will receive friends Saturday, June 16, 2012, from 1:00 PM - 2:45 PM at Hopewell Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 3:00 PM, with Revs. Tim Knotts and Eddie Bolin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. At other times, the family will be at the home.
Grandsons will serve at pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hopewell Baptist Church Building Fund, 511 Old Chester Road, Blacksburg, SC 29702.
