Bobby Gene Hammett, Sr.
SPARTANBURG, SC-- Bobby Gene Hammett, Sr., 76, of 160 Mapletree Lane, Spartanburg, died Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born October 25, 1935, in Inman, SC, he was the son of the late George Gene and Carrie Lee Duffy Hammett, and husband for five years of the late Ruth Patricia Bishop Hammett. He was a former employee of Ben Arnold-Sunbelt Beverage Co., a veteran of the SC National Guard for six years, and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include daughters, Elizabeth Hammett of the home, LuAnn Yarbrough of Lyman, SC, and Kristen Scoggins of Spartanburg; sons, Ronnie, Ricky, Bobby, Jr., and Brandan Hammett and Tony Cromer; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.
