Frances Cudd
SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mrs. Frances Lucille Webb Cudd, 92, of Maranatha Manor, Spartanburg, passed away June 19, 2012. Born June 9, 1920 in Spartanburg County to the late Howard and Annie Mae Webb, she was the loving wife to Everette Smith from her first marriage and the widow of Thomas Cudd. Mrs. Cudd retired from Spartan Undies as an inspector and was a member of Whitney Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Harold Smith of Spartanburg, Steve Smith and his wife Donna of Inman and Paul Smith and his wife Evelyn of Lyman; one daughter, Shirley Hayes and her husband Maxie of Chesnee; two brothers, John and Bob Webb both of Spartanburg; two sisters, Jean Boatman and Corrie Horton both of Spartanburg; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and by a special best friend Glenda Bridges. She was preceded in death by two children, Frank Smith and Judy Huckabee; daughter-in-law, Faye Smith; and four siblings, Paul and Charles Webb, Emily Green, and Aileen Calvert.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 3:00 pm at Eggers Funeral Home Chapel of Boiling Springs with Rev. Rupert Guest and Rev. Tim Hackett officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Whitney Freewill Baptist Church.
