Marjorie Jolley Splawn
CHESNEE, SC-- Marjorie Jolley Splawn, 90, widow of J.D. Splawn, formerly of Splawn Street, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at Peachtree Centre.
Born December 9, 1921, in Cherokee County, she was a daughter of the late Lee Jolley and Edith Vassey Jolley. She was a graduate of Chesnee High School, was a retired textiles worker with Reeves Brothers Mill and a member of Graham Chapel Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Diane Cole of Chesnee; four grandchildren, Mark Bishop, Rodney Bishop, Shannon Splawn, and Sherri Rich; 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by a son, Jimmy Splawn; brother, Jeff Jolley; and sisters, Julia Holt and Mildred Cash.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2012, at Springhill Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Preston Edmonds officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:15 prior to the service at Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee.
The family is at the home of Mark and Jeane Bishop, 208 Reynolds Road, Chesnee.
