Glenda Neal Lawter
CHESNEE, SC-- Mrs. Glenda Anne Neal Lawter, 73, of 658 Davis Trading Post Road, Chesnee, passed away Sunday 24, 2012. Born, August 31, 1938 in Woodruff, she was the loving wife of Dean Lawter and the daughter of the late James Davenport and Velma Hanna Dupree. She was owner and operator of a Bar and Grill, loved knitting, canning, and spending time with her family, and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her son, Fredric "Ricky" Banks II and his wife Robin Ann of Cowpens; one brother, Marshall Davenport; two sisters, Judy Edwards and her husband Charles of Rockwell, NC and Peggy Lee and her husband Darrell of Harmony, NC; four grandchildren, Fredric "Ricky" Banks III and his wife Cassandra, James Christopher Banks and his wife Christina, Summer Rochelle Banks, and Leslie Mills; four great-grandchildren, JT Banks, Mackenzie Banks, Katie Satterfield and Alex Satterfield; and one aunt, Mildred Landford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald "Billy" Davenport.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm in Eggers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Allen Dean Blanton officiating. Interment will be in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
