Page Arrington Cross
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC-- Page Arrington Cross of Hilton Head Island, SC, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012. Page was born on July 24, 1927, in Greenville, SC, the daughter of Richard Westry Arrington and Adelaide Barrow Arrington. She spent her early childhood years in Greenville and at the family summer mountain home at Caesars Head, SC. She later lived in Anderson and Spartanburg.
Page graduated from Greenville High School and from Furman University in Greenville. She also attended Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, VA where she was a member of the Phi Mu sorority.
Page quietly touched many lives through service to her friends, family and community. She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church on Hilton Head and The Episcopal Church of the Advent in Spartanburg where she was active in the Altar Guild. She served on the boards of the Salvation Army, Georgia Cleveland Home for Aged, and the Boys Home of Spartanburg. She was a member of the Assembly of Spartanburg and was active with Mobile Meals, Fruit and Flower Gardeners, Any Wednesday, and the Fortnightly Club.
Page is survived by her husband of 61 years, John Cross Sr.; son, John Cross and wife Amy of Hilton Head; and three grandchildren, Timothy Cross Turnham, Carolyn Page Cross and John Carter Cross. She was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Margaret "Peggy" Cross Turnham; a sister, Margaret Arrington Gotschall; and an infant brother.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 30 at 11:00 a.m. at The Episcopal Church of the Advent, Spartanburg, SC.
