Margaret Ruth Barfield Robertson
COLUMBIA, SC-- Funeral service for Margaret Ruth Barfield Robertson, 82, will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2012, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with entombment in Crescent Hill Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Robertson died Sunday, July 1, 2012. Born on February 6, 1930, in Lexington county, she was a daughter of the late William and Clarie Harmon Barfield. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Mrs. Robertson enjoyed raising plants, sharing them with family and friends and traveling to the beach. She was a licensed practical nurse at the Midlands Center for 22 years and was a member of the Southeast Greenhouse Association. Mrs. Robertson was a member of Rockton Baptist Church, Winnsboro.
Surviving are her husband of 26 years, Willard Robertson; children, Sandra W. Bouye of Spartanburg, Carolyn (Darwin) Abramson of Monterey, CA and James V. (Elaine) Watts of Delaware; grandchildren, William R. Bouye, Jr., Salli L. (Kevin) Fortenberry, both of Spartanburg; and great-grandchildren, Darion, Cole, Jay, Alec, and Sebastien Cash and Katelyn Bouye. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, David M. O'Ross.
