BLUFFTON, SC-- Janice Elaine Byars Parker Simpson, of Sun City Hilton Head, Bluffton, SC, passed away on July 5, 2012. She was born August 7, 1949 in Gaffney, SC, and later moved to Spartanburg, SC.
She was the daughter of the late Charlotte Ann Reynolds and William Brooks Alexander.
She leaves behind her husband of 35 wonderful years, Allen Dwight Simpson; her daughters, Rhonda Parker Arwood and husband Joe of Bluffton, SC, and Tracey Simpson Haynes and husband Tracy of Spartanburg, SC; her grandchildren, Josh Arwood of Fargo, ND, Amber Arwood Parnow and husband Stephen of Bluffton, SC, and Julia Grace and Mallory Haynes of Spartanburg, SC; and her great-grandson, Kaelen Parnow of Bluffton; and a sister, Susan Osborne - Workman of Beckley, WV. She is also survived by extended family, Harold and Vicki Phillips of Spartanburg and Ron and Gail Parker of Boiling Springs, SC.
She was predeceased by her sister, Annetta Kay Phillips.
She was formerly employed at Zima-Kuesters Corporation for 25 years when living in Spartanburg. She was formerly employed at Stone/Light when she moved to Bluffton, SC. She enjoyed traveling, knitting, and cruises.
Friends and family will be received from 1:00-2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 10, with services immediately following at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC.
