UNION CITY, OH--Charles Henry Wyatt, 83, of Union City, OH, passed away peacefully, early Monday, July 9, 2012 at Union City Care Center of Union City, OH. He was born May 2, 1929 in Gaffney, SC, the son of Henry and Agnes Mae (Strickland) Wyatt.
Charles honorably served in the U.S. Army seven years during the Korean Conflict. He served as the Commander of the Union City VFW Post # 7084.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a daughter, Myrtle "Jane" Cox; a daughter-in-law, Martha Wyatt; two sisters, Betty Seays and Alice Pierce; grandchildren, Derek and Chrissy Brim, Clayton and Jamie Wyatt, Clint and Carol Wyatt and Danielle Cox; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Connor, Daisy, Chloe, Dalton, Brooklyn and Hunter. He was preceded in death by his parents; a wife, Pauline "Meme" Wyatt; a daughter, Joan Marie Wyatt; a son, Charles D. Wyatt; five sisters, Bennie Coleman, Lillie Childress, Margie Fowler, Norma Ward and Fairlene Tedrow; a brother, Willie Claude.
A service to celebrate Charles's life will be 10 am Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Fraze-Brooks Memorial Chapel of Union City, IN. Burial will follow with Military Honors at Lisbon Cemetery of Union City, IN. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 5-8 pm Wednesday, July 11 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart Hospice of Darke County, OH.
